Roofing maintenance

Once a month through the car wash – unfortunately this is not possible with canopies, passenger and smoking shelters. However, regular care also contributes to a good appearance and value retention, and as with cars, attention must also be paid to material sensitivities. If you do everything right and keep to regular intervals, you will enjoy your building and its fittings for many years to come.

Durable ex works

Shelters, waiting shelters and smoking shelters from Noventis are extremely robust and durable. Hot-dip galvanized metal, perfect welded seams, industrial-quality paintwork and high-quality glass, wood and plastic elements guarantee a long service life. It can be further increased by regular maintenance of the components.

During the inspection, which should ideally be carried out every spring and fall, the drainage channels should first be inspected and cleared of moss and dirt. Blocked gutters may direct rainwater uncontrollably onto walls or into the living area, and this can be easily avoided. The same applies to the accessible surfaces of the ceiling elements.

Glass surfaces and ceiling panels should also be cleaned inside and out at this time. Although the steel frame construction can withstand wind and rain permanently, cleaning the surfaces, especially of road salt or chemicals from agriculture, protects them from possible damage.

The gentle way

High-pressure cleaners are practical, but can cause irreparable damage to paintwork, glass and wooden parts. The same applies to additives or cleaning substances for cleaning. Pure water will do. For stubborn stains, largely neutral cleaning agents or commercially available glass cleaners can be used to help. Soiling with grease or sealant residues can be removed with commercially available solvents such as spirit or isopropanol.

As a rule, glass should always be cleaned with plenty of clean water to avoid abrasive effects caused by dirt particles. Suitable tools include soft, clean sponges, leather, cloths or rubber wipers. The use of pointed, sharp metal objects could damage the surface.

Roofing is permanently exposed to the harshest weather conditions. With little effort and the right care, they not only look good for a long time, but their service life is also significantly extended.
